Cost sharing
One shoot, one set of photographs, and everyone who worked on the project gets the full set. The host picks a package, each partner adds a 40% licence, and the total is split evenly. Every partner receives the same set, so there is nothing extra to select or edit.
To keep it simple, we send one invoice to the host, who collects each partner’s share. Prices in Canadian dollars plus GST. Extra photographs are $100 each, and partners who join after the shoot can licence photographs at $100 each. Travel is included across Greater Victoria and Sooke, and quoted up-Island, to the Islands and the mainland. Download the rate guide
Questions
How much does architectural photography cost?
Packages run from $1,500 plus GST for 15 photographs to $3,000 for 45, and extra photographs are $100 each. Each package covers the shoot day and the licence to use the photographs.
What if we only need a kitchen, a bathroom or a few select shots?
Yes. We also photograph individual rooms and smaller renovations. Tell us what you need and we’ll prepare a quote.
Can one shoot be shared between the builder, designer and architect?
Yes, and it often is. One shoot, with the cost split between the builder, the interior designer, the architect and trades such as millwork and stone, so everyone has photographs of the work they did. We send one invoice to the host, who collects each partner’s share. See how the sharing works.
How can we use the photographs?
Every photograph comes with a perpetual licence, with no expiry, for your portfolio, website and social channels, print, publication submissions and awards.
Do you photograph projects for the CARE, VIBE and Georgie Awards?
Yes. Tell us which program you’re entering and we’ll plan the shoot around its categories and submission requirements.
Do you film projects as well?
Yes. A Project Showcase is a visual film of the finished project, set to music. A Project Documentary adds interviews about the ideas and decisions behind it. Both are quoted on the project. See architectural films.
Do you work outside Victoria?
Yes. We’re based in Victoria and work across Vancouver Island, Salt Spring and the Gulf Islands, and on the mainland in Vancouver, the North Shore and Whistler. Travel is quoted with the project.
