How we handle your details.
Platinum Creative is a small real estate and architectural media studio in Victoria, BC. We collect very little, we use it only to work with you, and we do not sell or share it. This page sets out what we collect, why, and how to reach us about it, as British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act asks.
What we collect
If you send an enquiry through this site, we receive what you type into the form: your name, email address, and message, plus your phone number, company and the services you are interested in if you choose to give them. If you email or call us instead, we keep the details you share in that conversation. There are no accounts on this site and nothing else is collected about you.
Why we collect it
To reply to you, to quote and book a shoot, to deliver and licence the work, and to keep the records a business has to keep. That is the whole list. We do not add you to a mailing list and we do not send marketing.
Where it goes
Enquiries are received through Netlify, which hosts this site and stores form submissions on servers in the United States, and are delivered to us by email through Google Workspace. Both companies handle the information only to provide those services to us. The films on this site are streamed by Vimeo; when a film plays, Vimeo sees your connection the way any video host does. We embed every film with Vimeo’s do-not-track option, so it is not used to build a profile of you.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies of its own and runs no analytics or advertising trackers. Vimeo may set a cookie of its own when you press play on a film. That is the only one.
How long we keep it
An enquiry that does not turn into work is deleted within a year. If you become a client, we keep your contact details and the records of the work for as long as we are working together and for the period our accounting and licensing records require afterwards.
Photographs
The photographs and films on this site were made on commission for the properties’ owners, agents, builders and designers. If you appear in one and would rather not, tell us and we will take it down.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent to our using it, and we will tell you plainly what we can and cannot do as a result. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your information, you can raise it with the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.
